FROM PAPER
TO NIGHTFALL.
A visual breakdown of the modeling, material, lighting and compositing choices behind Papyrus Navigator.
Visual direction
Building the project around paper forms, reflective water and a mysterious natural environment, using references focused on scale, atmosphere and exploration.

Paper language
Blocking the environment, shaping the origami silhouettes and testing the paper material response while preserving a delicate handmade quality.

Nocturnal depth
Building a layered light rig with cool ambient illumination, selective highlights and reflected accents to guide the eye through the water and toward the paper figures.

Final atmosphere
Comparing warm and nocturnal directions, then refining color, bloom, depth and surface response to create the final exhibition-ready images.
